We love using Fine Art Papers, however, not every photographic image lends itself to their use. We carefully select our photographs that can be produced using Fine Art Papers to create stunning high quality Photographic Art.
What are Fine Art Papers? - also known as "Giclée". These offer a genuine cotton based non-acid paper range that create wonderful detailed image quality with beautiful colour and tonal gradations. In addition, there are different surfaces treatments to enhance particular photographic images, ranging from Smooth through to a textured Watercolour surface. For Black & White Photographs we are big fans of "Baryta" Fine Art Paper, producing bright whites, intense blacks and amazing tone variation for that classic Black & White look and feel.
A prime consideration for us is what paper is used in the printing of a photograph. Every type of paper creates a different outcome in the printing process, an identical image can look very different across the many paper types. When a particular paper is used you will see it referred to in the specification details of any photograph you may select from the Studio Shop.
