North Foreland
by Chris Page
Low Winter Sun sets on the rear face of the North Foreland Lighthouse and the cabbage fields below. Standing on the chalk cliff headland of the Kent Coast, marking the begin of the Thames Estuary from the English Channel. The current Lighthouse building dates back to 1800's, however the first record of a lighthouse here is in 1636, although some sort of beacon at the location dates much further back.
