Reculver Towers
by Chris Page
The twin medieval towers of the ruined church of St Mary are a relatively young 12th Century addition to Reculver. This site dates as far back to Stone & Bronze Age times and was a major Roman Fort settlement from around 300 AD.
Photographing on this cold December night you can not help but contemplate all that have walked these paths before. Mine is but a small light in the layer after layer of history that makes up this enigmatic place.
